Since our opening in 1991, Island Escapades has evolved as Salt Spring’s premiere adventure outlet.
Sea kayaking is an excellent way for paddlers of all ages and experience levels to see the seals, mink, otters, and other rich intertidal and mammal life around the Gulf Islands. Our professionally guided, interpretive tours range from 2 & 3 hour harbour paddles, to 4-8 hour fully catered trips to marine parks. Our customized, multi-day kayak expeditions are excellent for friend/family getaways and group retreats. For those new to kayaking or just looking to brush up on their skills, we offer beginner and advanced stroke & rescue lessons on beautiful Cusheon Lake.
Offerings also include sailing, surfing, hiking & climbing adventures, accredited camps for youth, School Group Adventure programs,Eco Education Programs, Teambuilding and guide certification courses.
