 It’s been a stellar year at the Salt Spring Visitor Information Centre — from welcoming record numbers of visitors this summer to the incredible dedication of our volunteer ambassadors, who have stepped up in every way imaginable. When the summer students wrapped up their season, the ambassadors completely reorganized their schedules to keep the Centre open seven days a week through fall — a first in recent memory!This renewed energy and teamwork have earned the Centre three nominations at the 2025 Salty Awards — a well-deserved recognition of how far it’s come over the past year. At the heart of this success is the outstanding steering committee: Elaine Senkpiel, Laura Moora, Lynne Fraser, Aubrey Smith, and Brigitte Diebold (left to right).
To celebrate and thank our incredible team fleet of volunteer, the Chamber is once again hosting the Annual Christmas Luncheon for the Visitor Centre Ambassadors — and we’re inviting local businesses to help make it special by contributing sponsorships, door prizes, or donations for the “Draw of Appreciation.”We are also happily accepting sponsorships until November 19th:
