Trucker n’ Trade Parade
Saturday December 6 @ 5:30pm

Salt Spring’s truckers and skilled trades are lighting up Ganges for a holiday parade you won’t want to miss. With over forty vehicles in this year’s lineup, the parade will feature everything from brightly lit pickups to rarely seen rigs that don’t normally make an appearance around town.

Bundle up, find your spot along the route, and be ready to cheer as the convoy rolls past. Let’s fill the streets with excitement and show our appreciation for the tradespeople who support our community every day.

Parade route

Starts at Windsor Plywood, right on Jackson Ave, onto Seaview Ave, left onto Fulford-Ganges Rd, then left at Salt Spring Chocolate onto Lower Ganges Rd. Up past Country Grocer, left down Atkins Rd. And finishes back on Rainbow Rd.

We encourage everyone to choose a viewing spot along the parade side of the road, as some traffic may still be active in the opposite direction. Standing on the parade side helps keep everyone safe and ensures the best view of the lights and decorations.

Best viewing spots to watch the parade

  • The little coffee can on Jackson avenue
  • Heiwa Peace park and Artspring’s green space
  • Fulford-Ganges and Lower Ganges road in the town centre (Info centre, TJ beans, etc)
  • Lower-Ganges road up to Atkins road (Salty Manes up to Country Grocer)
  • Atkins Road

Please note: The parade will include horns, music, and other loud festive sounds. We encourage spectators to leave pets at home to keep them safe and comfortable.

After the parade... The Festivities Continue.

Once the parade wraps up, everyone is welcome to stop by Windsor Plywood for a warm cup of hot chocolate or hot apple cider and to announce the top 3 vehicles in the parade

Thank you to our sponsors!
